On 13 August 2019, the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo organized a senior lunch for residents of the Shanthi Nivasa Home under the Sisters of Mother Teresa of Calcutta on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother for the year 2019. Ambassador Chulamanee Chartsuwan presided over the event. In addition to hosting the lunch to approximately 90 senior residents, the Embassy also made cash donation on behalf of the Thai community in Sri Lanka in the amount of 15,400 Sri Lankan Rupees. Other items such as rice, cooking oil, tea, milk powder, detergent, soap, wiper mop, etc., were also donated.
