On 20 January 2020, H.E. Mrs. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Ambassador of Thailand, paid a courtesy call upon H.E. Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, at the Temple Trees – Residence of Prime Minister, together with Ambassadors from ASEAN member states who reside in Colombo (Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Viet Nam). The Ambassador congratulated the Prime Minister on the appointment and expressed the readiness of Thailand to cooperate with Sri Lanka, particularly on economic development, expansion of inbound investment, and promotion of Sri Lanka as a tourist destination.
