The celebration on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of the Ninth Reign’s 86^th birthday anniversary on 12 August 2018

On 12 August 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo organised the celebration on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of the Ninth Reign’s 86^th birthday anniversary at Gangaramaya Temple. The ceremony commenced at 10.00 hrs. H.E. Mrs. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Thai Ambassador to Sri Lanka, paid respect to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and led the Thai community in Sri Lanka to deliver the congratulatory speech for Her Majesty the Queen on the occasion of her 86^th birthday anniversary. Then, 9 monks chanted holy stanzas to bless Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. The Ambassador, her spouse, together with officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, Team Thailand, Thai people and their families as well as Friends of Thailand offered food to the monks.  After the religious ceremony ended at around 11.50 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy invited Thai people and participants to sign the book of blessing on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s 86^th birthday anniversary. Around 40 participants including officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, Team Thailand, Thai people and Friends of Thailand attended the ceremony.
