The Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo plays an active role in the work of Colombo Plan   

The Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, H.E. Mr. Paitoon Mahapannaporn, chaired the 308^th Session of the Colombo Plan Council in Colombo on 9 May 2024 as Thailand assumed the presidency of Colombo Plan Council for the year 2024 - 2025. As the President of Colombo Plan Council, the Ambassador of Thailand delivered opening remarks and an address during the opening sessions of the 48^th Consultative Committee Meeting of the Colombo Plan under the theme “Towards a Drug-free Mongolia: Stronger Through Prevention and Treatment” in Mongolia during 29 – 31 May 2024.

เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงโคลัมโบ นายไพฑูรย์ มหาพัณณาภรณ์ เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะมนตรีแผนโคลัมโบ สมัยที่ 308 ภายหลังจากที่ประเทศไทยรับตำแหน่งประธานคณะมนตรีแผนโคลัมโบ วาระปี 2567 – 2568 เมื่อวันที่ 9 พฤษภาคม 2567 ที่กรุงโคลัมโบ นอกจากนี้ ในฐานะประธานคณะมนตรีแผนโคลัมโบ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงโคลัมโบ ได้กล่าวสุนทรพจน์ในพิธีเปิดการประชุมคณะกรรมการที่ปรึกษาแผนโคลัมโบ ครั้งที่ 48 ในหัวข้อ “มองโกเลียที่ปลอดยาเสพติด: เข้มแข็งขึ้นผ่านการป้องกันและการเยียวยารักษา” ระหว่างวันที่ 29 – 31 พฤษภาคม 2567 ที่มองโกเลีย
