Effective from 8 October 2024 at 10:00 hours, foreign nationals currently in Sri Lanka and the Maldives who wish to apply for a Thai visa must submit their application through the new online e-Visa platform at https://www.thaievisa.go.th

 

Applicants will no longer be required to submit their passports and original supporting documents in person at the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo. However, applicants may be requested to attend an in-person interview at the Royal Thai Embassy if necessary.

 

After the e-Visa application is approved, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant. The applicant is kindly requested to print a copy of the confirmation email to present to the airline at the port of departure and to Thai immigration officials upon arrival in Thailand.

 

It should also be noted that the in-person visa application procedure at the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo will be terminated after 4 October 2024.
