On 22 October 2019, the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo organized a merit making ceremony on the occasion of the Memorial Day of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn for the year 2019 at Shree Jayashekhararamaya Maha Viharaya, Colombo. H.E. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Sri Lanka, and Mr. Vichai Chartsuwan, Ambassador’s spouse, presided over the ceremony. The event was attended by about 30 participants, including officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, officials of the Thai Airways International, board members of the Sri Lanka – Thailand Society, and board members of the Sri Lanka - Thailand Business Council, and members of the Thai community. Ten monks from Shree Jayasekararamaya Temple performed the religious celemony. Afterwards, participants offered dhana and alms to the 10 monks.
