On 5 December 2019, the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo organized an alms offering ceremony to 8 monks at the Gangaramaya Temple, Colombo, on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day and the Father’s Day 2019. H.E. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Sri Lanka, and Mr. Vichai Chartsuwan, Ambassador’s spouse, presided over the ceremony. The event was attended by about 25 participants, including officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, officials of the Thai Airways International, board members of the Sri Lanka – Thailand Society, and board members of the Sri Lanka - Thailand Business Council.

After the alms offering ceremony, the Embassy organized a ceremony to offer flower trays and pay respect to His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great at the residence of the Ambassador. H.E. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Sri Lanka delivered a remark, paying homage to His Majesty the late King, and led officials of the Embassy and members of the Team Thailand to pay respect in front of the portrait of His Majesty the late King.
