Royal Thai Embassy, Colombo would like to congratulate 5 winners of the First World Buddhist Outstanding Leader Award 2014 from Sri Lanka as follows.

1.       Most Ven. Anuruddha from World Buddhist Sangha Youth (WBSY), in the international monk category

2.       Mr. Jagath Sumathipala, President of All Ceylon Buddhist Congress, in the capacity of the Executive Member of the World Fellowship of Buddhists (WFB)

3.       Mr. Chandraprema Gamage, Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs, in the international preson category

4.       Mr. Sri Dewa Kumara Semage from the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY) , in the international preson category

5.       All Ceylon Buddhist Congress (ACBC) in the international organization category

The nominated received the award from His Holiness Somdej Phramaharatchamangalajarn, the acting Supreme Patriarch of Thailand on February 15th , 2014 at National Office of Buddhism, Buddhamonthol, Nakhon Pathom Province, Thailand.

The awards were given by Office of National Buddhism of Thailand in cooperation with the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY) to praise the monks, the Buddhist devotees and the Budddhist organizations who make benefit to Buddhism in the national and international levels, and to develop the meritorious role models for people and youths.
