On 16-18 February 2015, H.E. Mr. Nopporn Adchariyavanich, Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka led a group of Sri Lankan businessmen to visit Thailand under the Embassy’s project, called “Doing Business with Thailand”. This project aims to match Sri Lanka businessmen with Thai businessmen in potential sectors such as education, fisheries, construction materials, hotels and tourism in order to increase the volumes of trade and investment between the two countries.

             Ambassador Nopporn also led the group to meet with Mr. Somyod Tangmeelarp, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries and its members to exchange trade information and to create network among themselves.

            This visit had a successful outcome which will lead to more contacts and business deals between the private sectors of the two countries. The Royal Thai Embassy, Colombo will continue to support this kind of project continuously.
