Bidding Diplomatic Cars of Royal Thai Embassy

2. Mitsubishi Space Wagon (Silver) Year 1999 - Estimated market value 1,550,000 LKR  (November 2015)

 

Bidding letters must state the name, bidding price, address, contact number and signature of the bidders enclosed with copies of bidders’ ID cards. The bidders must be the same persons as the buyers. The Embassy will sell the cars to the winning bidders only. The bidding letters must be handed to the Royal Thai Embassy (29A Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo 7) by 16.00 hrs of 3 June 2016. Interested bidders can see the vehicles at 43 C W W Kannangara Mawatha, Colombo 7 on 24 and 31 March 2016 at 14.00 – 15.00 hrs. Bidding price is the price which the bidder will pay to the Embassy and it does not include taxes, fees or other relevant expenses. The winning bidders must take responsibility for all taxes, fees and other expenses relevant to the transfer of ownership. 

 

The Embassy will sell the vehicles to the bidders who offer the highest and most reasonable prices. The result will be officially announced at the Embassy as well as Embassy’s website on 6 June 2016. The winning bidders have to pay 30 percent of the price as the first installment to the Embassy by cash or cashier cheque within 5 working days after the bidding result is officially announced. As for the rest, the winning bidders have to pay to the Embassy by cash or cashier cheque within 10 working days after the bidding result is announced. All payments are not refundable. If the winning bidders fail to pay the Embassy within such period of time, the bidding will be revoked.
