                           The merit making ceremony on the occasion of

                                the fiftieth day after the passing away of

                         H.M. late King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand

 

The Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo organized the merit making

ceremony on the occasion of the fiftieth day after the passing away of H.M. late

King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand on 1 December 2016 at 10.00 hours at

Sri Sambodhi Maha Viharaya.

Ven.Dalanagama Kusaladhamma Thero, Chief incumbent of

the temple gave a welcoming remarks and H.E. Nopporn Adchariyavanich,

Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka delivered a speech and paid tribute to

H.M. late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, followed by religious ceremony performed

by 4 monks, led by The Most Venerable Aggamaha Panditha Dawuldena Gnanissara

Amarapura Mahanayaka Thero.

                When the monks finished chanting, the Ambassador poured the water

and all participants gave food and necessity offerings to 50 monks. The merit making

ceremony ended around 11.40 hours.
