Ambassador paid homage to Mahanayake Thero of the Malwatta Chapter of Siam Maha Nakaya and Mahanayake Thero of the Asgiriya Chapter of Siam Nakaya in Kandy

From August 11 – 12, 2022, H.E. Mr. Poj Harnpol, Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka, visited Kandy to pay homage to Most Ven. Tibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Mahanayake Thero of the Malwatta Chapter of Siam Maha Nakaya, and Most Venerable Warakagoda Dhammasidhi Sri Gnanarathana Mahanayake Thero of the Asgiriya Chapter of Siam Maha Nakaya. During the meetings, The Ambassador discussed ways and means to strengthen ties between the two Chapters of Siam Maha Nakaya and Thailand. In addition, the Ambassador took the opportunity to have a meeting with Mr. Thusitha Wijayasena, founder and president of Kandy City Center (KCC), the largest department store in Kandy, to explore future cooperation in organizing an exhibition promoting Thai soft power in Kandy.
