On 5 December 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo organized an alms offering ceremony to 9 monks at the Gangaramaya Temple, Colombo, on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. H.E. Poj Harnpol, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Sri Lanka, presided over the ceremony. The event was attended by about 35 participants, including officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, and board members of the Sri Lanka – Thailand Society. After the conclusion of the religious ceremony, H.E. the Ambassador and all officials of the Royal Thai Embassy paid homage to His Majesty the late King in a commemoration ceremony organized at the chancery of the Embassy. Both ceremonies were conducted with strict adherence to the health guideline.
