On 12 August 2019, Mrs. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka, presided over a candle lighting ceremony on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen Mother for the year 2019 at the residence of the Ambassador. About 35 participants attended the event, including officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, officials of the Thai Airways International, board members of the Sri Lanka – Thailand Society, and board members of the Sri Lanka - Thailand Business Council, and members of the Thai community.
