Announcement Guidelines for Foreign Nationals Travelling to Thailand During COVID-19 Pandemic

According to the Notification of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand dated 19 March 2020, every foreign passenger, who wishes to travel to the Kingdom of Thailand by air transportation, must present the following documents at the airlines’ check-in counter in order to obtain a boarding pass:

1) Health Certificate certifying that the passengers “pose no risk of being infected by the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19),” issued no more than 72 hours prior to the date of travel.

2) Health Insurance/Health Insurance Policy that shows minimum medical coverage of 100,000 USD in Thailand and covers the COVID-19 related diseases.

For any passenger who is unable to present these required documents, the airlines shall not issue a boarding pass and boarding shall be denied.

The abovementioned measures shall be effective from 22 March B.E. 2563 (2020) at 00.00 hrs. Thailand local time (on 21 March 2020 at 22.30 hrs. Sir Lankan standard time and at 22.00 hrs. Maldivian standard time), and shall remain in force until further notice.
