Thailand Society at the residence of the President of Sri Lanka – Thailand Society, Mrs. Nirmalie Gunatilleke, on the occasion of H.E. Mr. Poldej Worachat’s appointment as the new Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka.

On 16 March 2012 H.E. Mr. Poldej Worachat, Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka, and spouse, attended a welcome dinner hosted by Sri Lanka – Thailand Society at the residence of the President of Sri Lanka – Thailand Society, Mrs. Nirmalie Gunatilleke, on the occasion of H.E. Mr. Poldej Worachat’s appointment as the new Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka – Thailand Society was founded in 1997. At present, there are approximately 170 members carrying out activities enhancing Thai – Sri Lankan cultural relations in close co-operation with the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo.

The atmosphere of the welcome dinner was warm and cordial with participation of about 40 members of the society and their spouses.
