On 5 October 2012 H. E. Mr. Poldej Worachat, Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka, hosted a dinner in honour of the 50 thai delegates comprising of production team members and viewers of a TV programme called “Chuay Kid Chuay Tam”, which is on Thailand’s Channel 3, at the Ambassador’s residence in a warm and informal atmosphere.

Mrs. Siriboon Nattaphan, the programme host, also conducted an interview of the Ambassador about Thai –Sri Lanka bilateral relations and the celebration of 260th anniversary of the establishment of Siam Nikaya in Sri Lanka, which was taped to be on air in Thailand.

The delegation was in Sri Lanka during 30 September – 6 October 2012. On 5 October 2012, the delegation visited Gangaramaya Temple, a famous Buddhist temple of Siam Nikaya in the heart of Colombo, and donated 9 alms-bowls as well as other offerings to the monks.
