Thai Ambassador to the Maldives with residence in Colombo met with 3 Maldivian Ministers in Male

On 28 December 2016, H.E. Nopporn Adchariyavanich visited the Maldives and met with three Maldivian Ministers as follows:

1.      The meeting with Honourable Moosa Zameer, Minister of Tourism. H.E.

Ambassador Nopporn discussed with Honourable Minister Zameer about the increase of Thai resort and hospitality investment in the Maldives and of the number of Thai tourists visiting the Maldives.  H.E. Ambassador Nopporn also asked Honourable Minister Zameer to facilitate the doing business of Thai investors.

2.      The meeting with Honourable Dr. Mohamed Shainee, Minister of Fisheries and

Agriculture.  H.E. Ambassador Nopporn had an in-depth discussion with Honourable Minister Shainee on fisheries in the Maldives.  Both sides also exchanged views on the possibility of fishery cooperation and technical assistance.

            3. The meeting with Honourable Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, Minister of Health.       H.E. Ambassador Nopporn was informed on the latest development of Thailand - Maldives cooperation on health.  Both sides exchanged views on how to intensify their cooperation, especially technical assistance in training Maldivian medical specialists and sending a mobile unit of Thai doctors to do medical check-up for the Maldivian people.
