The Embassy organised the merits making ceremony on the occasion of
Songkran Festival.

            On 15 April 2017 from 10.30 hours the Royal Thai Embassy organised the merits making ceremony at the Jayasekararamaya Temple on the occasion of Songkran Festival. 

             The Thai community together with their families, who lived in Colombo and nearby towns around 50 participants, attended the Buddhist ceremony, gave the offerings for 5 monks, listened to preaching, and poured scented water over the Buddha statue and monks in accordance to the Thai tradition. The Embassy also hosted luncheon for the participants and function has been finished at 13.30 hours.
