On 9 October 2024, H.E. Mr. Paitoon Mahapannaporn, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, at the President Secretariat. Ambassador Mahapannaporn congratulated President Dissanayake on his recent election, and conveyed the congratulations and best wishes from the Royal Thai Government. During the meeting, both sides discussed about the promotion of trade, tourism, and investment to deepen the ties between Thailand and Sri Lanka.
