On 10 October 2024, H.E. Mr. Paitoon Mahapannaporn, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Honourable Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka at the Prime Minister’s Office. Ambassador Mahapannaporn congratulated Prime Minister Amarasuriya on her appointment. During the discussion, both sides discussed the strengthening of bilateral ties and cooperation through trade and investment by utilising the FTA signed this year, agriculture, culture, tourism, technical cooperation and education. They discussed an opportunity to exchange best practices and expertise, as well as to promote research and development collaboration in agricultural development and other areas of mutual interest.
