The Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo promotes the exploration of investment opportunities in the fishery sector in Sri Lanka

The Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo welcomed the Thai delegation led by Mr. Worawoot Pongprapapant, Director-General of the Department of South Asia, Middle East and Africa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, together with representatives from the Department of Fisheries, Thai Overseas Fisheries Association, Central Region Business Support, and Federation of Thai Industries, Ranong Province to Sri Lanka during 2 – 4 April 2024. The delegation met with Hon. Douglas Devananda, Minister of Fisheries and also visited the National Fisheries Federation, Lotus Aquaculture Lanka (Private) Ltd., Ceylon Fishery Harbour Corporation, Ceylon Fisheries Corporation, Dikkowita Harbour and Norfolk Company.

สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงโคลัมโบ ต้อนรับคณะผู้แทนไทย นำโดยนายวรวุฒิ พงษ์ประภาพันธ์ อธิบดีกรมเอเชียใต้ ตะวันออกกลางและแอฟริกา กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ร่วมกับคณะผู้แทนจากกรมประมง สมาคมประมงนอกน่านน้ำไทย สมาคมการค้าส่งเสริมธุรกิจภาคกลาง สภาอุตสาหกรรมจังหวัดระนอง ในการเดินทางเยือนศรีลังกา ระหว่างวันที่ 2 – 4 เมษายน 2567 โดยคณะได้พบหารือกับนาย Douglas Devananda รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงประมงศรีลังกา และได้เยี่ยมชมและพบหารือกับสมาคม National Fisheries Federation บริษัท Lotus Aquaculture Lanka (Private) Ltd. บริษัท Ceylon Fishery Harbour Corporation บริษัท Ceylon Fisheries Corporation ท่าเรือ Dikkowita Harbour และบริษัท Norfolk Company.
