On 25 March 2021, Mr. Tayatat Kanjanapipatkul, Chargé d’Affaires, attended the state funeral of Most Venerable Agga Maha Panditha Kotugoda Dhammawasa Thero, the Supreme Mahanayaka of the Sri Lanka Amarapura Maha Nikaya, at the Independence Square, Colombo. The state funeral was presided over by Mr.Gotabaya Rajapaksa, President of Sri Lanka. Dignitaries attending the funeral rite include the Sri Lankan cabinet members, Speaker and member of Parliament, officers from tri-force, and clergy from all religions.
